Η βιταμίνες Α και D είναι οι πιο απαραίτητες βιταμίνες, ιδιαίτερα για τον σκελετό των περιστεριών. Η βιταμίνη C χρησιμοποιείται για την αύξηση της ανθεκτικότητας των νεαρών περιστεριών.
Θα πρέπει να χορηγείται ένα παρασκεύασμα βιταμινών κατά τη διάρκεια της περιόδου σκότους (η βιταμίνη D παράγεται από το ηλιακό φως).
