REVOLUTIONARY AT COMED!
No more complicated schedules!
We’re forgetting the seasons!
Only 5 powerful, complementary basic products are needed
Pigeons are creatures of habit and prefer the same taste in food and drink every day.
Every day, one tablespoon of each product per kilogram of feed.
For all pigeons – hens, cocks, young, old, and breeding pigeons.
Applicable all year round:
- during breeding
- during the racing season
- during molting
- during winter rest (half dose)
Strange? Absolutely – we forget the seasons!
Still, we surprise them positively during the racing season, with a natural reset that sharpens their focus and attention:
"On the day of basketing, they only get pure feed and water."
No more need for (blind) antibiotic cures.
Those who still choose antibiotics would do well to use these 5 base products as supplements. They protect the complex gut environment – both biochemically and bacterially – against the side effects of antibiotics.
Why this approach?
In our pigeon loft, the colony lives under a higher population density than in nature (caves). This causes constant stress and lower immunity.
These 5 products efficiently protect against daily oxidative stress (**) and support overall well-being.
Oxidative stress has negative effects on all levels:
- Each pigeon instinctively defends its territory, which is deeply rooted in its survival instinct. Short-term stress skirmishes are harmless, but things should not escalate (e.g. in the basket); we must respond wisely.
- Changing routines irritate creatures of habit and are therefore outdated.
- If a pigeon disappoints despite these exceptional Comed Big 5, it no longer deserves a place in your loft. This is called natural selection, as Darwin intended – only the strongest remain in your colony.
- Refinements can be advised on request via optional products from our extensive range.
In one of my conversations with Willem De Bruijn, he compares the Comed products to "an umbrella under which pigeons find protection from all the threats that pigeon racing entails." The more I think about it, the more I like the comparison. When circumstances – which are never predictable – suddenly turn unfavorable (*), these five crucial Comed products: Lisocur +, Miobol, Roni, Stopmite, and Curol provide the extra protection that can make the difference.
Willem called this the build-up of a permanent protective shield…. |
(*)
Pigeons can handle bad weather, but… during prolonged rain, they face issues: their feathers – covered in water-repellent oil – eventually become soaked and heavy, losing their aerodynamic qualities.
They then consume enormous amounts of energy and their vision deteriorates, causing them to seek shelter…

Muscle tissue
Oxidative stress can damage mitochondria in flight muscles → reduced ATP production → fatigue.
Muscle cell membranes are damaged (lipid peroxidation) → muscle pain, stiffness, slower recovery.
Immune system
Chronic stress suppresses the immune system, and oxidative stress worsens it.
Result: higher susceptibility to all kinds of harmful germs.
Reduced function of macrophages and T-cells.
Liver and detoxification
Liver cells are damaged by prolonged exposure to Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) → decreased detox capacity → accumulation of waste substances.
Poorer recovery after flights or medication use.
Intestinal lining
Oxidative stress damages the fine structures in the intestines → leaky gut
Result: reduced nutrient absorption, toxin leakage → inflammation.
Semen quality and reproduction
With the natural method (urge to care for young): chronic stress + oxidative load = reduced semen quality and fertility, especially in cocks.
Neurological stress
ROS can damage neurons, especially in the hippocampus and orientation centers.
Result: loss of sharp orientation, possibly slower return, declining performance
